Melon Launches NFT Platform for Social Media Stars

Buy Your Favourite Social Media Posts from Influencers

Melon’s NFT trading platform for celebrities on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch has launched. On this new site, they are now selling their viral material as NFTs. Melon is the first platform in the world for transforming popular social media digital content into one-of-a-kind digital collectibles that fans can collect, trade, and use to win prizes. The success of their favourite influencers may benefit fans, and producers may be able to turn their best social content into valuable digital assets.

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and blockchain technology have enabled producers and users to earn and commercialise content in previously unimaginable ways. TikTok has announced the launch of a new NFT collection of classic video from some of the platform’s most talented creators. This allows fans to gather popular moments and resell them for a profit, while content creators profit directly from both the initial sale and any subsequent sales.

Previously, it was difficult to lawfully and verifiably own digital content that could be freely copied, duplicated, and altered. Thanks to the launch of NFTs, fans can now be verified owners of digital material such as their favourite influencer’s most viral TikTok. Previous NFT sales of social media content and Internet memes have shown that licensed content from top influencers has a market.

Online memes Nyan Cat and Doge, which sold for $590,000 and $4 million, respectively, were among them, as was Jack Dorsey’s first tweet, which sold for $2.9 million. Other popular viral memes, such as ‘Disaster Girl’ and ‘Charlie Bit My Finger,’ have subsequently been offered as limited-edition NFTs at astronomical prices. Melon, a new NFT platform, improves on this first validation by applying it to a variety of social media content, such as TikTok and YouTube videos, Instagram posts, Twitch broadcasts, and more.
