Unreleased Music & Rare Whitney Houston NFT’s
An NFT will be auctioned off next month for an unreleased Whitney Houston demo. Houston’s full-length song was written when she was seventeen years old, and it dates from her early career. For the upcoming auction, the singer’s estate has teamed up with OneOf, a Quincy Jones-backed music NFT platform. The NFT is the first of a planned series of limited-edition items, each of which will be available in only one copy. The auction winner will get exclusive access to the demo as well as video artwork created by Diana Sinclair, a young artist, exclusively for the soundtrack.
In addition to the song, the sale will feature thousands of other NFTs, including rare historical pictures from Houston’s early life and career. “I’m thrilled to see Whitney’s legacy and her beautiful songs transition into revolutionary new technologies of our age,” Pat Houston, Houston’s executor, stated.
Proceeds from the collection will go to the Whitney E. Houston Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to continuing Houston’s vision of empowering and creating opportunities for young people. On December 1, OneOf will reveal additional auction details, such as the date, at a music and NFT event during Miami Art Week. A limited pre-sale of 300 tokens will begin today on the platform’s website, and interested bidders can also sign up to be pre-qualified.
